BRIEF DESCRIPTION

Sue and Ken had an upstairs bathroom and toilet area which was not
meeting their needs. It was tired with a poor layout and limited useability. The Brief renovate bathroom as is, cabinets that worked for them and please get rid of the ugly toilet with a side entry pipe (yuck).
Its always a challenge to change your layout upstairs and I really have lost count of the times people say to me, “we have had three quotes in and unfortunately this is the only layout we can have”.
Whilst this sometimes can be true, I generally find we can offer an alternative design. We designed a walk-in shower with a privacy nib wall that ran the length of the shower 1600mm and created a step up to the entry. It is only 40mm and because of the nib wall is just about invisible to the eye and really is no encumbrance to entering the shower.
The photos show how efficient this is and how it optimizes the way this bathroom is used. The cabinetry has a built-in laundry drawer and a colour that really makes a statement in the room. Sue really wanted to match her existing palate and it really did work in this space.
Now imagine the upstairs toilet with a side entry pipe and look at the solution in the photos. We built a frame for an inwall cistern, then matched the cabinetry in the bathroom and capped it with the same stone used for the benchtops. The attention to detail can be seen in the white metal strip capping the tiles for a brilliant finish.
