Ross and Liz Had finished the rest of the home beautifully with stunning views over the valley. The pressure was on to finish the final rooms to that standard and beyond.
The brief included the renovation of the bathroom and laundry. The 1960’s property had been finished beautifully with solid Marri timber and very tasteful midcentury touches. The layout had the laundry and toilet in one area and the bathroom next to them. There was access to the toilet from both the laundry and bathroom which made for a very crowded and messy space.
We decided to brick the entry from the laundry up and knock the existing toilet walls down to create more space in the bathroom. The positioning of the free-standing bath into this created space was truly the centerpiece the room needed. We tied the room in with a handmade Scandinavian style timber screen as the backdrop. We wired in LED lighting to the floor between the bath and wall which provides a glow to the timber which is absolutely stunning at night (and day).
To finish off this stunning all the cabinetry in the bathroom and new laundry is solid Marri and the new windows are all doubled glazed.
