Bayswater

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The bathroom is a place of relaxation and rejuvenation; the physical elements of the room should reflect this. Outdated, older bathrooms not only hinder the relaxing experience, but also leave homeowners concerned for plumbing issues they can’t see. These are worries the Immaculate team are glad to assist with. Our clients Andrew and Belinda had three spaces that were in need of renovation – the laundry, ensuite and a powder room. These rooms prior to renovation were disconnected, cold and in need of some serious updating.
The laundry area was a neglected space that had an unpleasant commercial feel, this was due to the ceiling height tiles that were just not suited to this type of smaller room. Our design team immediately recognised this and changed the tiles to a mid level, making the laundry feel warmer, less industrialised and improving the overall feel of the laundry. Our cabinet maker Drew did a fantastic job with the custom cabinetry, helping our clients make the most of the space with more storage and shelving. Having above and below cabinets has not only improved the storage situation but also made the laundry feel complete as the whole wall space is now used. A few design changes to make the room less dominating has now made the laundry an inviting, warm space to be in!
Many older powder rooms are badly designed, you’d think not much can go wrong in a small space, which is probably why many we see have a clunky, not well thought out designs. This powder room had the sink in the way as you stepped in, as well as being in the wrong spot. We tucked the sink into the corner which has given the illusion that the powder room is more spacious. Similar to the laundry we changed the height of the tiles down to 1200mm with a nice metal finish on top to improve the feeling of the room. Fresh paint and LED lights helped modernise the small space and keep it fresh for years to come.
The ensuite for our Bayswater clients will be the envy of the street after the transformation that has taken place. A cold, uninspiring 1990’s bathroom has evolved into a modern, vibrant room that has high quality features and amenities. We installed vertical, heated towel rails which look fantastic on the wall in gold, these are smart fixtures that heat towels much more efficiently that horizontal rails. The old, clunky heat lamp was ditched in place of heated flooring, the heat from the floor is felt more than from heated lights making it worth the investment. All the gold fittings make this ensuite sing and are a beautiful contrast to the brown, marbled style tiles which feature up one wall and on the floor. A spacious walk in shower with smart drainage adds luxury to this ensuite, with a wide fall space to catch any water splashes and redirect the flow toward the drain.
